The Stud
Our Facilities
Comprising over 150 acres of mature pastureland on a beautiful 415 acre country estate, Moyns Park Stud is the perfect location for raising bloodstock.
Nestling in the tranquil, rolling countryside of the Stour River Valley on the borders of Suffolk and Essex, the Stud was established over 50 years ago. It has benefited from significant recent investment and modernisation by its current owners and offers a blend of traditional and new high quality stabling, state of the art facilities and excellent pastureland. The estate is certified organic and is licensed by the Soil Association, offering a chemical-free environment for mares and foals.
There are 3 separate yards (including a foaling unit and an isolation area for new arrivals), which cater for mares, foals, weanlings, yearlings and, by special arrangement stallions. Additionally, there is a specialist veterinary unit, a covered Claydon horsewalker, an all weather turn-out arena, and a lunge ring with a Sandtrac surface.
A range of paddocks, including nursery paddocks, enjoy natural shelter and protection from the elements from hardwood trees in the surrounding woodland. All of the paddocks are good quality, old pasture and have been recently re-drained and re-fenced with a combination of post and rail and Keepsafe fencing.
A sophisticated CCTV surveillance system is installed in all of the stables and covers the whole estate, ensuring a secure environment and enabling us to monitor mares due to foal.
