The Stud
History
The Stud was established in 1955, when under the ownership of Mr and Mrs Ivor Brice it gained a reputation for producing foals and yearlings including exceptional racehorses such as Field Mouse, Loose Cover (who held the World Record over one mile), and her daughter Silk and Satin.
Between 2004 and 2006, the buildings were fully restored by the Stud's current owners, with the addition of new facilities and state of the art technology. Moyns Park Stud is now home to a small nucleus of well-bred foundation mares and a number of boarding mares, foals and yearlings.
The Stud’s distinctive orange and black silks have been carried to success on the racecourse through Five Star Junior, whose career to date includes 7 wins and 19 places. Hope Island’s 2-year-old filly by Rock of Gibraltar is in training with Chris Wall.
