Moyns Park Stud is building a nucleus of high class mares. In addition, a third mare, Semaphore was purchased privately.
Lovely Thought (2006)
Lovely Thought is by Dubai Destination out of Fairy Flight and is a half sister to Group winner Just James and listed winner Blue Jack. She won 3 races at 2 and 3 years and was placed 3 times, including a third in the listed totesport.com Wentworth Stakes. She has a yearling colt foal by Invincible Spirit and is in foal to Pivotal. She will be visiting Poet’s Voice this year.
Walk On Bye (2007)
Walk On Bye has a stellar pedigree, being by the 2009 Champion sire Danehill Dancer out of Champion Older filly Pipalong. She won 2 races at two years, beating subsequent Group One winners Beethoven and Sole Power. Walk On Bye is a Group Three winner (Jebel Ali Stables/Racecourse Anglesey Stakes) and was also placed at 2 in the Group One Phoenix stakes. Pipalong’s sister, Ripalong is the dam of Shamwari Lodge, who has won six times including the Tri Equestrian Stakes (Group Three), and Imperial Rome, who has won three times including a listed race at the Curragh at 3 years.
A maiden in 2011, she is carrying a foal by Galileo. She will visit New Approach in 2012.
Semaphore (2005)
Semaphore is an unraced mare by Zamindar out of Blue Duster. She is a half sister to Blue Symphony, dam of Group Three winner, Fantasia, and whose Nayef yearling (subsequently named Elyassaat), now in training with Roger Varian, sold for 525,000 guineas at Tattersalls in 2010, and her filly yearling by Galileo sold to Cheveley Park Stud in 2011 for 410,000 guineas.
She has a filly yearling by High Chaparral, and is in foal to Rip Van Winkle. Her mating for 2012 is yet to be decided.
Hope Island (2004)
Hope Island is by Titus Livius out of Chapka. She won one race at 3 and was placed twice. She is a half sister to Moon Unit, a Group Three winner in Ireland, and two listed placed horses, Three Way Stretch and Cupid’s Charm. Her second dam Cockade, a full sister to High Top, was the dam of Old Vic, the winner of the Irish Derby in 1989.
Hope Island’s 2009 colt by Dalakhani (Anahkalad) sold at Tattersalls Book One Yearlings for 35,000 guineas, and went through the ring again at the Breeze Up sales in 2011, making 55,000 guineas when purchased by BBA Ireland. Her 2010 filly by Rock Of Gibraltar, has been retained and has gone into training with Chris Wall in Newmarket. She has a yearling colt by New Approach and is in foal to Nayef. She is to visit Selkirk this year.
Purring (1999)
Purring is by Mountain Cat out of Memory’s Gold. She won one race at 3 years. She has produced six foals, including Jeer who won two races at 3 and 4 years, and Lady Francesca, a listed placed filly, now racing in the USA. Cat O’ Nine Tails, her 2007 filly by Motivator, won three times as a 3 year old and once at 4.
Purring’s 2009 filly by Marju was purchased at Tattersalls Book One as a yearling by William Muir and, now called Kittens, ran twice at 2. William Muir also purchased her 2010 filly by Mount Nelson. She has a yearling filly by Dubawi. She was not covered last year, but will be visiting the Derby winner, Pour Moi this season.
Whatizzit (2003)
Whatizzit is by Galileo out of Wosaita. She won one race at 2 and was placed 7 times. She is a half sister to Whazzis, winner of the Premio Sergio Cumani, Milan (Group Three), and Whazzat, a listed winner. Her second dam Eljazzi is the dam of Group One winner Rafha, winner of the Queen Elizabeth Stakes and dam of Invincible Spirit.
Whatizzit’s 2009 filly by Oasis Dream sold to BBA Ireland at Tattersalls Book One as a yearling for 62,000 guineas. She has a yearling colt by Cape Cross. She will be covered by Dream Ahead this year.
Moon Over Water (2008)
By Galileo she has been retired to stud, having been placed once at 3, and will be a maiden this year. Her dam, Velvet Moon, who was the highest priced mare sold at Tattersalls in 2002, won the Lowther Stakes and is the dam of four winners, including Moon Ballad who won the Dubai World Cup and more than £2.75 million in prize money. Moon Over Water will visit Iffraaj.

Lady Agnes (2003)
Lady Agnes is by Singspiel out of St Radegund. She is a half sister to Radegund Abbey, three times a winner in Dubai, to Rhadagunda, a listed winner in France, and Halla San, a winner of seven races and £125,000 both on the flat and over jumps. Rhadagunda’s first foal by Dalakhani sold at Tattersalls Book One in 2011 for 210,000 guineas.
Lady Agnes is owned by Mandy Whitlock, Stud Secretary at Moyns Park. Her first foal, a filly by Dutch Art, (Stepharlie) ran five times at 2. She has a yearling colt by Halling, and is in foal to Virtual.
She will be rested in 2012.
Miss McGuire (2003)
Miss McGuire is by Averti out of Friend for Life, from the family of Shirley Heights. She has two full sisters, Amica the dam of Crunched, winner of 2 races at 2 and 3, and Averami, the dam of Side Glance, winner of £200,000 in prize money and a Group Three winner at 4.
She has two fillies in training, Miss Exhibitionist (2008, by Trade Fair), placed on the flat three times and now in training with Alan King, and Feelthedifference, (2009, by Iceman) a maiden winner at 2 from three starts, and in training with Sir Henry Cecil. She has a yearling filly by Sir Percy and is in foal to Kheleyf.
Also owned by Mandy Whitlock, she will be rested in 2012.
Red Fantasy (2007)
Red Fantasy, by High Chaparral out of Petite Fantasy, is a winner of one race and listed placed. She is owned by Ronald Arculli, former Chairman of the Stewards and a Steward of the Hong Kong Jockey Club. He is a major owner of racehorses in this country, and the owner of Red Cadeaux, second by a whisker in the 2011 Melbourne Cup.
She will visit Fastnet Rock in 2012.
